The Basic Needs Program Assistant will assist with mentoring and providing day-to-day guidance to paid student assistant interns and staff assigned to the Basic Needs Resource Center, under the supervision of professional staff. This position supports the work of the Basic Needs Resource Center Coordinator who is responsible for developing, implementing and managing programs and services supporting students’ basic needs, including but not limited to food security, housing stability, and financial resources. The Program Assistant will provide lead work direction to the student assistant staff who work in the Basic Needs Resource Center. This position will promote the overall well-being and healthy lifestyle choices of students, within the university community.
