Coastal Oceanography Technician (Research Technician III, Range I) - Office of Research and Sponsored Programs/National Estuarine Research Reserve San Francisco
This position contributes technical expertise and programmatic support to coastal science and education initiatives associated with the San Francisco Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve based at San Francisco State University. Duties include collecting and analyzing environmental water samples, designing and conducting pilot studies of primary productivity in San Francisco Bay, operating specialized oceanographic equipment, and coordinating project administration and oversight. Position will collaborate with and support multiple university faculty and students within the College of Science and Engineering.
Business Counselor/CVWBC (UEC) San Bernardino - San Bernardino Campus
Provide CVWBC consulting, training, and information services in the region to pre-venture, start-up, small and medium-sized businesses. Maintain client database by preparing detailed written assessments and making recommendations for improvements. Keep abreast of business trends, techniques, and processes. Work collaboratively with peers and the business community to expand expertise. Community outreach responsibilities will include public presentations to key stakeholders and service on appropriate boards and committees related to economic development. Complete all forms and maintain client files as required by the SBA. Document information, assistance, and outcomes of sessions with clients related to consulting and training activities performed by the consultant. Provide Center with timely reports related to milestones and success stories of client economic outcomes. Individuals must conduct their own lead generation through creating partnerships with cities, chambers of commerce, business associations, etc. to find clients.
Administrative Support Coordinator II Chico
The Administrative Support Coordinator II (ASC) works independently under the general direction of the department chairs to coordinate clerical and administrative operations for the Departments of Chemistry and Biochemistry and Science Education. The ASC provides lead work direction to the Administrative Support Assistant; coordinates human resources activities and department events; manages course scheduling and related academic functions; monitors and reconciles budgets; oversees purchasing for equipment, supplies, travel, and professional development; and trains faculty and staff on procedures. The ASC supports the Departments of Chemistry and Biochemistry as well as the Department of Science Education. The position provides direct and indirect support to department chairs; coordinates projects; researches and analyzes information; delegates and monitors work; independently interprets and applies policies; and resolves daily operational issues using sound judgment and discretion. The ASC also facilitates the Chemistry Summer Research Institute (CSRI) and supports faculty advisors in planning and scheduling student events. Why Chico State? The Cashiering Lead oversees daily operations by sharing cash control and deposit procedures with departments and satellite cashiers, interpreting and applying a wide range of cash‑handling policies, and communicating updates related to University, CSU, State Administration Manual, and departmental requirements to ensure consistent compliance and audit readiness.
