| Under the general supervision of a Physician and direction of the Executive Director, the Nurse Practitioner provides a wide range of primary health care services within the Student Health Center (SHC) including assessment, diagnostic, and preventive and health maintenance services at the Palm Desert Campus. The incumbent works under the supervision of a physician using established standardized procedures and/or process protocols. The Nurse Practitioner collaborates with the SHC Executive Director and their supervising Physician(s) to develop standardized procedures and/or process protocols and scope of practice for their position. The incumbent provides a wide range of primary health care services, such as conducting physical examinations; diagnosing, treating, and managing illnesses and injuries; ordering tests and interpreting the results; and counseling patients on preventive care. This position is primarily located at the Palm Desert campus and may work occasionally on the San Bernardino campus. |

| Students applying to or currently enrolled in the M.A. in Communication Studies, within the Department of Communication & Media at California State University, San Bernardino, may be eligible to apply for Teaching Associate position each year during their term of study on the master’s degree program.
Department of Communication & Media TAs (Teaching Associates) teach COMM 1006 Oral Communication courses, following a successful application process, which involves a formal interview, and after training during the summer sessions (typically in July). The TAs are the instructor of record for their sections of COMM 1006 Oral Communication, and as such are responsible for all aspects of the preparation of the course. |
