The Guardian Scholars Program (GSP) is recruiting an Outreach Coordinator to perform outreach and recruitment activities in order to engage and enroll current and former foster youth, and unsheltered youth to programs at Sacramento State. The Outreach Coordinator is essential to explain programs, enrollment processes, and services to individuals, caregivers, community colleges, and community organizations. This position represents GSP at community functions and organizational meetings; develop, organize, supervise and attend workshops, forums, conferences, and related college sponsored events; assist in the development and/or selection of marketing and promotional materials, such as appropriate media packages, and interface with other college departments on marketing strategies; conduct orientation sessions and periodic training sessions and workshops for caregivers, community members, student assistants, and student workers. |

Under the general direction of the Cradle to Career Program and Evaluation Director and Executive Director of Hayward Promise Neighborhoods (HPN), the College & Career Programs Lead will support a team of 4 staff supporting K-12 and postsecondary programs including Student Success Navigation (High School and Postsecondary), Pioneers with Promise (High School), and Internships (Postsecondary). This position is responsible for aligning strategies that support college and career readiness, persistence, and completion for students at Cal State East Bay, Hayward Unified School District, Eden Area ROP, and Chabot College. The lead will collaborate with university leadership, faculty, and external partners to ensure a coordinated approach to student success and workforce development within the cradle-to-career framework.
The lead will have experience developing and implementing evidence-based programs that provide academic and career support services to students, including mentoring, career exploration, internship coordination, and college persistence coaching. The position requires strong collaboration with K-12 districts, community colleges, industry partners, and community-based organizations to establish pipelines for student success. Additionally, this role includes data analysis, program evaluation, and strategic planning to ensure programs meet institutional and grant-funded objectives. |

Hayward Promise Neighborhoods (HPN) at Cal State East Bay is hiring a Community Counseling Program Coordinator. The Community Counseling Program Coordinator, under the direction of the Director(s) of the Community Counseling Clinic (CCC) and Executive Director at Hayward Promise Neighborhoods (HPN), coordinates a comprehensive range of activities aimed at enhancing access to counseling services for children and families within the HPN framework. This role is pivotal in connecting HPN community members, local schools, and agencies to the CCC’s services, particularly focusing on organizing and systematizing mental health counseling responsiveness provided by School Counseling/Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) and School Psychology/Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) trainees. The Coordinator will conduct on-campus presentations, initial screenings, and spearhead efforts in data collection and reporting to support U.S. Department of Education grant goals.
The Coordinator manages the day-to-day operations of the CCC, which includes organizing mental wellness workshops, coordinating counseling services at outreach events, and facilitating systematic training programs like STEP (Systematic Training for Effective Parenting). Additionally, this position is responsible for data management, preparing analytical reports to evaluate service impact, and ensuring that all program activities align with grant requirements. This role demands a proactive approach in managing community relations, overseeing administrative tasks, and participating in advisory council meetings to continuously improve service delivery and client outcomes. |
