Lecturer - VPA 321: Learning Through the Arts (Fall 2026) San Marcos
The Department of Music at California State University San Marcos seeks a part time lecturer for Fall 2026 to teach VPA 321: Learning Through the Arts. Salary is commensurate with credentials and experience. This course seeks to develop the student both personally and professionally, recognizing the inter-relationship between these two elements in art instruction. Three areas of focus include introducing arts experiences to children, integrating arts into classroom content, and providing a framework for the (elementary) student to experience the process of art. This course satisfies the Liberal Studies requirement for work in Studio Arts.

Applicant pools are used to fill short-term Lecturer positions across our campus with the possibility of rehiring. Appointments may last from one day to a whole semester.
