The Think by the Bay Program Coordinator works in close partnership with the Program Director to provide leadership, day-to-day coordination, and implementation of CSU East Bay’s inclusive postsecondary education program for students with intellectual disabilities (ID). In collaboration with the Program Director, the Coordinator supports the overall success of the program by working closely with lead program faculty and other part-time staff, providing lead work direction to temporary student support staff, and ensuring strong academic integration and compliance with institutional and grant-related requirements. While the Program Director serves as the primary liaison between the program and university departments, faculty, families, and community partners, the coordinator helps sustain effective communication, coordination, and daily operations across all areas of the program. This role is integral to advancing Think by the Bay’s mission of delivering high-quality, inclusive academic, social, and career development opportunities for students.

The Program of Social Sciences seeks applicants for its part-time lecturer pool. We are seeking experienced, well-organized, and student-centered individuals to teach in the subject area of social sciences. Candidates must have at least a Master’s degree in a field relevant to the curriculum of the social sciences. Preference will be given to candidates who have prior teaching experience at the college or university level and who can furnish evidence of strong teaching. A Ph.D. is desirable, but not required. Candidates should demonstrate their ability to interact and work effectively with a wide and culturally diverse range of students, including first-generation college students. Preference will be given to those with experience in working with diverse populations and fostering a collaborative, supportive and inclusive environment. This is a pool of part-time lecturers for the program to draw on as necessary and all appointments are temporary. Staffing decisions are made on a rolling basis typically beginning a few months prior to the start of an academic term right up to the beginning of the academic term.
