Under general supervision of the Supervising Electrician, performs skilled journey-level electrical work, including the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, equipment, and low-voltage systems such as fire and alarm systems. Duties include troubleshooting malfunctions, planning and wiring new or remodeled installations, testing equipment for safety and efficiency, and fabricating parts. The incumbent ensures work complies with codes and specifications, uses a computerized maintenance system, and may guide unskilled or semi-skilled assistants. |
