The Lead Groundsworker provides oversight for a crew of staff engaged in the maintenance, repair, and improvement of campus landscapes, athletic fields, and related facilities. The Lead Groundsworker is responsible for training staff, enforcing safe work practices, and maintaining records of work order, equipment, and chemical use. This position monitors pest, weed, and disease control measures in coordination with licensed Gardening Specialists, and may perform occasional pesticide applications if properly licensed. The incumbent plays a key role in maintaining safe, attractive, and sustainable campus environment that supports the university's mission. |
