| Under the general direction of the Director of Payment Services, the Accountant II plays a key role in supporting the university’s financial operations through day‑to‑day accounting, accounts payable, and financial reporting activities. This position performs professional‑level accounting work using GAAP, FASB, and GASB standards, including account reconciliations, journal entries, financial analysis, and compliance reporting. The Accountant II contributes to campus and systemwide financial reporting, prepares forecasts and board reports to support informed decision‑making, and assists with the implementation of new payment systems such as Concur. In addition, this role provides guidance and training to payment services staff and campus partners, helping to ensure accuracy, transparency, and efficient financial processes across the university.
