The Department of History seeks one or more part-time lecturers for a pool from which instructors will be considered for teaching appointments as they become available for Fall Semester 2025, and Spring Semester, 2026. The department offers a range of lower- and upper-division courses to majors pursuing the BA in History, General Education students, prospective middle and high school teachers in the Single Subject Matter Preparation Program in Social Science, and Public History Certificate students. The department also offers an MA degree program, in which lecturers holding the Ph.D. occasionally teach reading seminars in their specialties. |

The Department of Psychology usually has part-time positions open to teach undergraduate courses in all areas of psychology. Minimum requirement: Ph.D. in Psychology (or related field) or enrollment in a Ph.D. program with sufficient progress towards the degree is preferred. Candidates who possess a Master’s degree and teaching experience in an appropriate field will be considered.
Teaching assigned classes in psychology. Preparing syllabi and other course materials, planning class sessions and out-of-class activities, communicating with students and helping them with class material as appropriate, and holding regular office hours. Please note that teaching assignments at California State University, East Bay may include courses at the Hayward campus, Concord Center, and/or online. The policy and expectation of the California State University is that all faculty members will perform all of their duties within the state of California. |
