The position supports the Dean, Associate Dean, Director of External Relations, Administrative Analyst/Specialist (AA/S), staff, and faculty. Responsibilities include assisting the AA/S with Retention, Tenure, Promotion, and Contract (RTPC) processes; coordinating CME committees, including scholarship and curriculum; overseeing purchasing and travel claims for the Dean’s Office and the Liberal Studies program; processing student payroll; providing lead work direction to student employees and oversight of front-office operations; and maintaining the college calendar. Grounds Supervisor (Administrator I) Chico
Under the general supervision of the Manager of Custodial and Grounds, the Supervisor of Grounds and Landscaping Services is a member of the Facilities Management Services (FMS) leadership team and shares responsibility for the daily operations of the department. This position oversees scheduling and assignment of work, conducts site inspections, and ensures compliance with safety standards within the Grounds and Landscaping unit. The Supervisor provides direct oversight of grounds and landscaping personnel engaged in a full range of activities, including the planting, cultivation, fertilization, and maintenance of lawns, flowers, trees, shrubs, and other landscaped areas. The position is also responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and directing landscape and horticultural programs; reviewing project plans and designs; and inspecting completed work to ensure adherence to applicable specifications and standards. The position provides executive level leadership, guidance and oversight to support auxiliary and self-support compliance with applicable laws, CSU policies, executive orders, and campus requirements. The position also provides senior-level leadership in advancing the division of Business and Finance and university strategic priorities. The Executive Director leads the planning, execution, and assessment of high-impact, cross-organizational initiatives that support Business and Finance and the university’s mission, vision, and long-term goals. The Executive Director is responsible for advising and assisting auxiliary and self-support leadership in the areas of compliance, procurement, inventory and asset management, fiscal responsibility, internal controls, organizational governance, real estate management, and audit readiness. Acting as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor, the position ensures that auxiliary operations align with state side expectations while respecting the distinct missions and operational models of each auxiliary organization. The Executive Director also provides leadership in the development, coordination, and execution of Business and Finance’s strategic priorities. This role leads high impact projects, drives cross functional collaboration, and ensures that strategic initiatives are aligned with the university’s fiscal goals, the Business and Finance division operations, and university mission; coordinating stakeholders, monitoring progress, addressing risks, and ensuring that strategic efforts are implemented effectively and deliver measurable outcomes.
