EOP Advisor (Student Services Professional II) CURRENT CSU SYSTEM-WIDE APPLICANTS ONLY Chico
***CURRENT CSU SYSTEM-WIDE APPLICANTS ONLY*** This position performs moderately complex professional student service work and activities under general supervision. Responsibilities include academic monitoring, student advising, and supervision of student employees. This is a task oriented position within a fast paced office with many deadlines. The incumbent will coordinate workshops for EOP students in addition to preparing materials and presenting information in one-on-one and group settings, to students, stakeholders and community organizations. The incumbent will maintain, track and evaluate statistics and information, prepare reports and correspondence and perform day-to-day duties promoting the program's mission. The incumbent will need to be sensitive to academically and culturally disadvantaged non-traditional students and their families. The EOP Advisor will need to multi-task and prioritize their work in accordance with the needs of the office. The Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) assists low-income and first generation college students in making a positive transition to CSU, Chico and the surrounding community with the explicit goal of increasing their retention and graduation rates at CSU, Chico. EOP offers a comprehensive program of transitional and support services including an EOP Freshman Year Experience, Summer Bridge Program, special orientation sessions, counseling, tutoring, academic advising, learning assistance and career exploration to all eligible students.

***INTERNAL APPLICANTS ONLY*** Under supervision, the Instructional Support Technician (IST) performs comprehensive support services for providing materials, supplies, equipment and related logistical support to a variety of upper and lower division laboratory courses in one or several disciplines, having varied needs, and requiring support involving technical and non-technical equipment, material, and supplies. Primary responsibility is to provide materials as well as laboratory setup and cleanup for Geology or Environmental Science courses. ***CURRENT CSU SYSTEM-WIDE APPLICANTS ONLY*** The Basic Needs Coordinator (SSP III) provides independent advisement and support to students experiencing food insecurity while oversee the Hungry Wildcat Food Pantry, which serves 2,000 weekly visits. This position exercises professional judgment in overseeing pantry operations, supervising 20 student staff, and coordinating donations, sourcing, and distribution. Additionally, the Coordinator develops and implements campus-wide outreach, events, and workshops, including financial literacy, cooking, and wellness programs, while fostering cross-campus and community partnerships. The role requires advanced problem-solving and interpersonal skills to help students navigate complex challenges, recommend resources and strategies, and design creative, integrative solutions that improve student well-being and success.
