***INTERNAL APPLICANTS ONLY*** Electricians perform the full range of journey-level skilled electrical and related work, including installation, maintenance, modification and repair of electrical apparatuses, equipment and systems. Responsibilities include installation and maintenance of typical and specialized electrical systems, and electrical support for related trades, such as HVAC and telecommunications, for both new installations and repairs/retrofitting. Electricians provide support services for campus events, such as setup and removal of temporary power, and routine operational duties such as tracking work orders, preparing cost estimates, maintaining inventory, monitoring and inspecting the work of contractors, preparing reports and ordering supplies. Electricians are required to be on standby for emergency repairs, as scheduled.
