| The Director of Employee and Labor Relations leads the development, implementation, and coordination of labor relations, compliance, and progressive discipline oversight activities for all staff positions except faculty, research, graduate, and student assistants (Unit 3 and Unit 11 positions).
The Director establishes and implements guidelines and practices to ensure the operational needs of the unit and the campus are met. This position provides high-quality customer service and works to resolve a wide range of complex employee and labor relations matters.
The Director provides sound and authoritative employee and labor relations guidance to campus management, responds to inquiries from campus administrators, and researches issues related to employment and labor laws and regulations. The Director also participates in the development of systems to monitor the effectiveness of policies, procedures, and practices, and develops and delivers training programs for the campus community.
