Under general direction, the analyst provides administrative and analytical support to the Dean of CBE on all budgetary and financial matters affecting the College. The primary responsibilities of this position include collaborating with CBE deans, faculty, staff, and campus offices (e.g., University Budget Office, Academic Affairs, Accounting, Procurement, Advancement) to prepare the College’s operating budget, resolve financial and operational issues, develop policies, and support strategic planning. The analyst manages a large and diverse portfolio of funds with full fiscal authority and responsibility; interprets and implements policies across state, CSU, and campus levels; and designs processes, reports, and recommendations to ensure effective budget oversight. The role also includes extracting, analyzing, and reconciling financial, HR, accounts payable, and purchasing data; preparing transfers, projections, and reconciliations; approving and monitoring expenditures; and ensuring compliance with established policies. Additionally, the analyst leads financial and technical reviews to identify problems, adapt plans, and recommend improvements to systems, processes, and reporting tools. The position supports AACSB accreditation by monitoring and reporting financial data, ensuring compliance, and preparing required documentation and reports. This role requires advanced expertise in financial analysis, resource allocation, accounting maintenance, financial reporting, expenditure and budget monitoring, recordkeeping, forecasting, and other department-level fund reporting.

Post-Doc Researcher (TUC- Biology) Northridge
The University Corporation is recruiting for a Post-Doc Researcher for Biology. This position will lead research using eDNA technology to investigate the biodiversity of marine coastal ecosystems with and without the presence of nearby low-trophic aquaculture farms, and microbial diversity associated with biogeochemical cycling of nutrients. The postdoctoral scientist will coordinate and execute the collection of sediment and seawater samples using SCUBA when necessary from aquaculture sites and paired reference sites lacking aquaculture farms. The postdoc will also lead the processing of samples in the laboratory to amplify and sequence DNA fragments, their analysis, and lead the writing of manuscripts for publishing results in peer-reviewed journals. The successful candidate will work closely with the PIs, graduate and undergraduate students (serving as an additional mentor to student trainees), and interdisciplinary collaborators in the social sciences. The postdoc should show potential for leadership in the field of organismal interactions, ecology, and/or evolution, with the corresponding contemporary field and laboratory research skills.
