| The Department of Art & Design at California State University, Northridge (CSUN) seeks a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Communication Design. The successful candidate will teach both introductory and advanced undergraduate courses in Entertainment Advertising Design and Branding, integrating communication design principles with emerging technologies such as virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), artificial intelligence (AI), and video or motion production. The ideal candidate will remain current with evolving technologies, maintain an active creative and professional practice, and demonstrate a strong commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and representation, particularly in serving CSUN’s diverse student population. In addition to teaching, responsibilities include holding office hours, participating in faculty meetings, assessing student learning, and contributing to departmental, college, and university service. The position also involves supporting curriculum development, innovation, and outreach within the Communication Design area. Teaching may occur during weekdays, evenings, weekends, or online. The successful candidate will play a key role in advancing CSUN’s mission of equitable academic excellence through teaching, mentorship, scholarship, and service. |
