Major Duties

Engages in program development and coordination, and program marketing. Ensures the program has the necessary resources to offer developmentally-based care. 2. Takes responsibility collaboratively for program lesson plans and participation in on-campus programs Monday-Thursday. Participates as an Early Childhood Educator providing early childhood developmental assessments and interventions during the program, including timely assessments and reports; evidence-based practice in early childhood education; conducting group and individual interventions, including opening and/or closing circle time; parent and caregiver education, and collaboration with other professionals and families. 3. Provides mentorship to students. 4. Performs home visits to enrolled children in the home and community settings. 5. Functions as the case manager for all children and families enrolled in the program. Holds family and team conferences as required by the Regional Center. 6. Ensures that all reports contain updates from all members of the team.



BA or higher in Early Childhood, or equivalent

ECE Certificate

Are prepared to demonstrate a deep commitment to the development and learning of young children by easing

the transition from home to community/center-based care.

Are intrigued by the way children think and view the world.

Respond enthusiastically to the diversity of young children (abilities, talents, cultures, and interests).

Encourage children to develop skills, inquiry, and knowledge.

Orchestrate cohesive communities of young learners.

Work to create a productive, safe, joyful, and enriching environment for children and families.

Hold high expectations for all children enrolled in the program, and their families.

View the role of an EGE as a holistic enterprise: professional knowledge and skills, and professional regard for

the families who attend the program.

Mentor early childhood education and child development students.


Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule

This position is employed through The University Corporation (TUC).


The anticipated hiring range: $21.78- $23.21 per hour
