Prevention Education and Outreach Manager is responsible for providing oversight and direct facilitation of programming.
Oversight of all Prevention and Outreach objectives agency-wide. Monitor grant compliance in coordination with Clinical Program Managers. Provide performance evaluations of direct reports in partnership with supervisor. Complete evaluation and reporting requirements as specified by the grantor. The Manager facilitates projects and curricula implementation; monitors department goals, tracks program objectives; helps supervise Prevention staff, volunteers, and interns in collaboration with other departments as needed. Is committed to the development and implementation of collaborative approaches and culturally competent diverse programs. Conduct outreach and education staff meetings and provide guidance to staff; Monitor staff & volunteer productivity & compliance; Coordinate schedule of workshops to youth, parents, and community groups. Ability to relate well with school administrators, faculty, and staff. Capacity to fully implement programs at the identified sites. Create program resources, including educational materials and recruitment/marketing materials, as directed by supervisor. Monitor department goals and track program objectives.
Master’s Degree from an accredited university in Public Health is required. Must have a valid CA driver’s license. Must possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Must pass a Criminal Clearance. Must have excellent computer skills. Bilingual English/Spanish is required.; Close to Home Program expertise is a plus.
Knowledge, Specialized Skills, and Abilities
Must have a thorough knowledge of primary prevention; experience developing and overseeing outreach and education programming. Specialized skills and abilities to analyze information, problems, situations, practices and/or procedures to identify relevant factors and make recommendations for the resolution of problems; Program planning and implementation, including creating evaluation plans and tools, experience in health promotion materials development and application of various forms of social media.
Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule
This position is employed through The University Corporation (TUC).
The anticipated hiring range: $36.06 per hour
THE SELECTED CANDIDATE IS REQUIRED TO PASS A THOROUGH DEPARTMENT (BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION AND LIVE SCAN).
Per CSUN/TUC Mandate, the candidate will be required to show proof of COVID 19 vaccination including booster.
