The mission of the Cal Poly Pomona College of Engineering is to produce well-qualified engineering graduates ready for immediate and productive entry into the workforce or graduate studies. This position effectively serves students, faculty, staff, and the campus community by learning and applying university policies and procedures. It will handle special projects related to aspects in the dean's office.

The Accounting Manager ensures that assigned accounting program activities are carried out in accordance with established policies and procedures and generally accepted accounting standards, identifies actual or potential problems and recommends corrective or preventative actions, develops audited financial statements and reports, provides consultative services to campus administrators in resolving accounting problems, recommends and implements changes in accounting system procedures, and ensures adequate internal controls are implemented and functioning properly. The incumbent assures that all financial reporting requirements of the University are met, including areas such as new and existing GASB standards, pension accounting, capital asset infrastructure reporting and accurate reporting of long-term debt obligations.
