Department of Music - Assistant Professor	San Bernardino - San Bernardino Campus
To lead our Bachelor of Music undergraduate program in Music Therapy as program director and professor. This position will include program development, as our program is in its initial stages, as well as liaison responsibilities with sites (and practitioners) in the Inland Empire and San Bernardino County that provide music therapy. This position is thus both student-facing and community-facing, and will involve student advising and recruiting responsibilities, as well as oversight for music therapy clinical fieldwork and internships. Along with teaching and program-building, this position also supports active involvement in research and professional scholarship. TYPICAL ACTIVITIES • Lead and continue to develop CSUSB’s new BA in Music Therapy program • Develop the BA in Music Therapy curriculum as needed • Teach undergraduate courses in music therapy, as well as additional courses in the Department of Music as needed • Recruit and advise all music therapy students • Coordinate and supervise internships and clinical fieldwork in music therapy • Serve as liaison with clinical supervisors and internship site supervisors, creating and maintaining these relationships • Attend all department faculty meetings and serve on departmental, college, and university committees • Maintain membership in the American Music Therapy Association • Maintain active involvement in research and professional scholarship • Other duties as assigned Qualified candidates must demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring a diverse student population and to working effectively with faculty, staff and students across a wide range of disciplines.
Department of Teacher Education and Foundations - Open Rank, Single Subject Literacy	San Bernardino - San Bernardino Campus
Candidates must have knowledge, skills and interest in secondary literacy/English language arts teaching, research, and professional development. Candidates are expected to teach literacy/English Language Arts courses for teacher candidates and graduate students. Candidates are expected to meet the requirements for excellence in teaching, active scholarly and professional work, and service to the University and community. The successful candidate is expected to: Design and teach secondary Reading, literacy/English Language Arts courses at the credential and M.A in Education program that emphasize high impact instructional strategies and current teaching and learning theories in literacy and English language arts. Work with credential and graduate students. Participate in committee assignments at the program, department, college, and university levels. Supervise student teachers. Engage in research/publication and/or creative activities. Advise and mentor credential and graduate students. Participate in student recruitment to the credential and graduate programs. Qualified candidates must demonstrate active involvement and excellence in teaching and mentoring/supervising a diverse population of students, working collaboratively and productively with faculty, staff, and administrators within and across programs, departments, and colleges at the university. School of Cyber & Decision Sciences - Assistant Professor in Cybersecurity	San Bernardino - San Bernardino Campus
The SC&DS seeks a full-time assistant professor to join a growing and dynamic faculty team. CSUSB's cutting edge Cybersecurity program prepares students to address the cybersecurity issues and concerns faced today in many corporate and government environments. The foundation of our Cybersecurity program consists of imparting the skills required to succeed along with a combination of technical skills, policy, teamwork, ethics, and professionalism. In 2022, the Cyber program successfully renewed the NSA/DHS designation of Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense (CAE-CD). Since receiving the CAE-CD designation, the Center for Cyber and AI has secured a portfolio of $85m in grants and scholarships focused on the cyber workforce. The ideal candidate for this position must have knowledge, skill, and interest in teaching both undergraduate and graduate courses in Cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence offered by the SC&DS at CSUSB main campus and at Palm Desert. Candidates having a combination of both theory/research and applied/hands-on teaching experiences in the areas of Cybersecurity Management, Ethical hacking - SCADA/IOT, Forensics, Incident Response, applied AI, and hold Industry recognized certifications such as Security+, CISSP, etc. are a plus. A deep understanding of the Centers of Academic Excellence in Cyber program as well as the critical workforce frameworks (Department of Defense Cyber Workforce Framework, NIST 800-181) is important for the candidate. Experience working with US Government partners in cyber defense is also desired. The successful candidate will also be expected to advise students, serve on Department, College and University Committees, contribute to and participate in the life and strategic priorities of the SC&DS, and engage in the broader University disciplinary communities.
Human Resources Information System (HRIS) Analyst (Business Systems Analyst II), Human Resources Division	San Bernardino - San Bernardino Campus
Under general supervision, the HRIS Specialist serves as a key technical resource within the Division of Human Resources, providing expertise and support across HR systems to improve efficiency, accuracy, and user experience. The Specialist administers core HR systems (PeopleSoft/CHRS, LMS platforms, and related HR technologies), ensures data integrity and security, supports implementations, and advances process automation.
Department of Special Education, Rehabilitation and Counseling - Open Rank, Tenure-Track	San Bernardino - San Bernardino Campus
The successful candidate will be required to (a) teach evening courses in face-to-face, hybrid, and/or online formats in the post-baccalaureate credential and graduate programs including strands in special education foundations and instructional practices for learners with extensive support needs (severe/profound disabilities); (b) supervise and evaluate fieldwork activities, (c) advise credential and graduate students; (d) participate in curriculum development and ongoing program assessment activities; and (e) participate in scholarly activity and service. The successful candidate may be required to teach courses at both the San Bernardino and Palm Desert Campuses.
