The Department of Art & Design, as part of the College of Arts & Letters at CSUSB, offers bachelor's degrees in art history, design, studio art, and art education, plus a graduate program offering an MA in Art and an MFA in Studio Art. The department serves approximately 500-600 students in its majors per year, plus other students from across the campus. The core approach taken to teaching across all the areas of the department focuses on visual and material literacy, as well as critical and discursive analysis of art, design, and other cultural productions. Students that we serve gain a broad base of skills in the areas of art and design making, as well as research, critical thinking, problem-solving, and writing. Through our programs, we strongly encourage an open approach to understanding how all aspects of art, design, and cultural production contribute to imperatives of diversity and community engagement. Department of World Languages & Literatures- ASL, Japanese, Spanish Part-time Lecturer Pool San Bernardino - San Bernardino Campus
The Department of World Languages and Literatures offers an M.A. degree in Spanish, B.A. degrees in Arabic and Spanish, and several minors. The department also offers certificate programs in Healthcare Spanish and Criminal Justice Spanish. In addition, we offer courses in American Sign Language (ASL), Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and a number of indigenous languages. This position requires group and one-on-one training in job development.
W. Benson Harer Egyptology Scholar in Residence, History Department Visiting Faculty San Bernardino - San Bernardino Campus
The Department of History at California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB) invites applications for the W. Benson Harer Egyptology Scholar in Residence. A successful candidate will be a member of the CSUSB community for one semester, either Fall 2025 (mid Aug- mid Dec) or Spring 2026 (mid Jan – late May). This position is designed for scholars taking a semester sabbatical from a home institution or as a postdoc for an up incoming scholar. The applicant should specialize in Ancient Egyptian History, Archaeology, Religion, Society, or Art anytime between the Predynastic to the Roman Periods. The successful candidate will receive housing, a partial meal plan, $2,500 towards relocation expenses, and a $26,000 stipend. CSUSB hosts the Robert and Frances Fullerton Museum of Art (RAFFMA), which includes an important collection of approximately 500 artifacts dating from the Predynastic Period to the Coptic Period. School of Social Work - Assistant Professor San Bernardino - San Bernardino Campus
The School of Social Work invites applications from a diverse group of qualified applicants for a full-time, Assistant Professor tenure track position to begin August 2025. The position is open to candidates who can teach research and macro curriculum to our MSW and BASW students. Marketing and Events Coordinator /CAE (UEC) San Bernardino - San Bernardino Campus
Project Coordinators for the CAE Community will be responsible for a variety of tasks required to host and market events, both virtually and in person. Marketing Coordination: The Marketing Coordinator collaborates closely with program and project managers to craft the organization's marketing strategy, guiding it from conceptualization to implementation. They assist in formulating budget proposals and securing funding for marketing endeavors. With a creative flair, they conceptualize marketing collateral such as flyers, social media posts, and digital communications, ensuring content aligns with audience expectations. By developing detailed audience profiles, they tailor targeted marketing campaigns to specific groups, effectively promoting events and enhancing the company's brand presence. Event Coordination: Coordinating all aspects of events such as venue selection, contract negotiation, and logistics management; developing comprehensive event plans, timelines, and budgets; promoting events through various channels and managing registration processes; serving as the primary point of contact for stakeholders and partners; collaborating with internal teams and external vendors to ensure seamless event execution; and conducting post-event evaluations to gather feedback and improve future events. Requires travel (estimated at 5-8 trips per year).
Business Counselor/CVWBC (UEC) San Bernardino - San Bernardino Campus, San Bernardino - Palm Desert Campus
Provide CVWBC consulting, training, and information services in the region to pre-venture, start-up, small and medium size businesses. Maintain client database by preparing detailed written assessment and make recommendations for improvements. Keep abreast of business trends, techniques, and processes. Work collaboratively with peers and the business community to expand expertise. Community outreach responsibilities will include public presentations to key stakeholders and service on appropriate boards and committees related to economic development. Complete all forms and maintain client files as required by the SBA. Document information, assistance, and outcomes of sessions with clients related to consulting and training activities performed by the consultant. Provide Center with timely reports related to milestones and success stories of client’s economic outcomes. Individual must conduct own lead generation through creating partnerships with cities, chambers of commerce, business associations, etc to find clients.
