Instructional student assistant writing consultants conduct one-to-one and group writing conferences with students, faculty, and staff from all disciplines both in person and online via Zoom. In these conferences, they function as writing consultants who write with, never for, other writers.
ASUA Writing Intensive Course Instructional Student Assistant (ISA) Pool San Bernardino - San Bernardino Campus
We are seeking dedicated Writing Mentors to support undergraduate students enrolled in a Writing Intensive (WI) designated course. Mentors will play an integral role in the course, providing academic support during class time and offering supplemental instruction outside of class. Mentors will work closely with the course instructor throughout the semester to enhance the classroom experience and provide targeted writing support.
Director/Children's Center (UEC) San Bernardino - San Bernardino Campus
The Children’s Center Director provides leadership and supervision to the Children’s Center. The Director is responsible for the planning, supervision and administration of the center’s activities including program development, human resources, contract management, fiscal accountability, community relations, parent education, and operating the center in full compliance with California Department of Education and California Department of Social Services Community Care Licensing guidelines and Center policies. Additionally, the Children’s Center Director is responsible for maintaining a close relationship with the infant toddler lab school on campus.

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Administrative Assistant to support the day-to-day operations of our resource centers. This role will play a key part in ensuring smooth office management and providing essential support to our program manager and program participants.

The Graduate Assistant position is distinguished from those classifications used for undergraduate student help in the instructional program who perform clerical or other routine tasks such as grading examinations, recording grades, etc., by the following: Graduate Assistants are provided part-time employment and practical experience in fields related to their advanced study. Graduate Assistants can also provide professional non-teaching assistance to faculty members. Graduate Assistant work may involve supervising students in a classroom, workshop, or laboratory (where final responsibility for the class and its entire instruction, including the performance of the Graduate Assistant, is vested in a member of the faculty); training students in the use of equipment or other resources; assisting faculty with research and preparation of course materials; participating in the evaluation of students’ work; tutoring students; and other related work. Graduate Assistants are not responsible for the instructional content of a course, selecting student assignments, planning of examinations, determining the term grade for students, instructing the entire enrollment of a course, or providing the entire instruction of a group of students enrolled in a course. Graduate Assistants may not be employed to assist in a course in which they are enrolled, nor should they be consulted regarding the grading of their peers.
Department of Public Administration Part-time Lecturer Pool San Bernardino - San Bernardino Campus
The Department of Public Administration is seeking to hire part-time instructors to teach within our NASPAA-accredited MPA program and our newly created Bachelor of Arts in Public Service. All courses are taught online, using the Canvas and Zoom platforms. The MPA program offers seven core courses (History and Theory; Research Methods; Budgeting; Human Resources, Public Management; Policy Analysis; and Strategic Planning) and 5 concentration courses. Police Dispatcher (Police Dispatcher I), Public Safety San Bernardino - San Bernardino Campus
The Police Dispatcher(s) will perform a full range of standard dispatch classification related duties on rotating shifts. The Police Dispatcher(s) will receive information, complaints, requests and signals from a variety of communication equipment. The incumbent will evaluate information received, determine a proper course of action, and disseminate information. The Police Dispatcher(s)will handle police, parking and other types of radio traffic, maintain all information in a computer aided dispatch system and perform other classification related duties as assigned.
