| The Department of Physics and Astronomy at California State University, San Bernardino invites applications for a new Department of Physics and Astronomy chair to begin December 2025. This is a full time tenure track position with a half-time academic year faculty appointment and a half-time 12 month chair appointment. The ideal candidate will be an experienced faculty member with demonstrated leadership and administrative skills, an established record of scholarly research, and evidence of commitment to student success. The Chair is expected to provide leadership in shaping and facilitating the future of the department including faculty and staff development, faculty mentoring, strategic planning, and student recruitment and success initiatives. The Department Chair will serve in a leadership capacity in support of the mission of the College of Natural Sciences. They will provide academic and administrative leadership and facilitate the orderly conduct of the affairs of the Department and the College. Preference will be given to candidates with familiarity in navigating large public education systems, such as the CSU. The Department offers B.A. and B.S. degrees in Physics, with minors in astronomy and applied physics, and interdisciplinary M.S. degree in Materials Science, which is associated with the Center for Advanced Functional Materials(https://materials.csusb.edu). Preference will be given to candidates who are able to teach courses within the full range of undergraduate physics courses and graduate courses in support of the Master Program in material sciences. | The Department of Biology at California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB) is seeking part-time Instructional Student Assistant (ISA) applications from qualified individuals for our San Bernardino Campus (SBC) and/or our Palm Desert Campus (PDC). Candidates for this position should be students in good standing at CSUSB and should possess good organizational and communication skills. The ISA positions may involve various duties including assisting Biology staff, faculty, and students; assisting Instructional Support Technicians in preparation for laboratory or other course needs as appropriate; and assisting faculty and course instructors in tasks such as grading, tutoring, and assessment. Candidates should have a commitment to teamwork and should work closely with the staff/faculty/instructors to which they are assigned.
This is a pool of students for the department to consider for ISAs, and all appointments are temporary. Decisions on assignment of ISAs are made on a rolling basis, normally between several months before and up to the beginning of the academic term. |

| The Housing Navigator provides direct support to participants in the RESET Program by assisting them in securing and maintaining stable housing. This position works under the supervision of the Program Manager to develop individualized housing stability plans, coordinate rental assistance, and connect participants with wraparound services. In
addition, the Housing Navigator will provide Substance Use Disorder (SUD) counseling and relapse prevention services as part of a comprehensive support plan. The Housing Navigator engages participants using a culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and evidence-based approach, supporting their long-term housing and community
reintegration success. |
