| As a division of Academic Affairs, Academic Success & Undergraduate Advising (ASUA) provides advising and academic support to all CSUSB students. ASUA helps students establish and maintain a sense of belonging with the university through academic support services and programs. ASUA facilitates pathways to graduation and enhances the undergraduate and graduate experience. ASUA specialized student-support programs include Academic Advising, Coyotes Achieve, Peer Advising, Early Assessment Program (EAP), Student Mentoring Program (SMP), Coyote Experience, Yotie Oso, and the Student Success Studio (S3) at PDC, Academic Support programs include Tutoring, Supplemental Instruction (SI), Academic Testing, and the CSUSB Writing Centers (for graduate and undergraduates). | Provide parent education courses for parents/caregivers in an in person group format or online. Duties include facilitating 9-session parenting courses. Parent educators may also be asked to do “onetime” presentations on various parenting topics in the local area.
Parent educators will also be expected to complete necessary paperwork and facilitate after-class debriefing sessions with children’s program staff as needed. Parent educators must follow a fully developed parent education model (and will be trained to use this model before leading groups). |

| The Academic Advisor provides academic advising for undergraduate students. The incumbent interacts with other student service professionals on a regular basis and collaborates with advisors in the center and across colleges to provide holistic and comprehensive advising to undergraduate students. The incumbent will provide independent curricular advising of undergraduate and international students, including class schedule preparation, education and career goals, PAWS review/interpretation, and establishing MyCAPS; provide suggestions and alternate solutions to problems as they arise. The incumbent will provide advising services in individual or group settings, in person, virtually, via email or telephone; domestic and international. This position participates and presents at CSUSB events such as orientation, Choose CSUSB, preview day, commencement, student convocation, and more along with college-level advising activities. Such advisement involves basic counseling techniques and may concern career, academic, learning, campus life, and/or related issues. Incumbents of this classification spend substantial time advising, which utilizes skills usually gained in graduate courses in counseling and guidance, human relations, or related fields. |

| The Administrative Analyst is a key member of the administrative team at the Cal State San Bernardino Reentry Initiative (CSRI). Under the direction of the Associate Director of Administration, this position is responsible for the full range of fiscal, purchasing, payroll, and budgetary functions necessary to support the financial health and operational efficiency of the organization. The Analyst performs complex analysis, financial forecasting, budget oversight, and purchasing coordination across multiple Day Reporting Centers (DRCs) and acts as a liaison between CSRI, University Enterprises Corporation (UEC), and external funders. This role requires a high level of accuracy, accountability, discretion, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, confidential environment. |
