Hourly Realtime Captioner (Hourly Interpreter/Realtime Captioner/Computer-Aided Transcriber) - DPRC San Francisco
Under the general supervision of the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing Services Coordinator, Real-Time Captioners provide communication access real-time translating services (CART) to Deaf or Hard-of-Hearing (DHOH) individuals, including students, faculty, staff, and university guests. Incumbents facilitate communication by using court reporting methods, a steno machine, real-time technology, software, and a laptop computer to create real-time word-for-word text of spoken English.
Residential Coordinator for Residential Education (Head Resident II - Non-Exempt) - Residential Life San Francisco
Under the direct supervision of the Assistant Directors of Residential Education (First Year Experience or Continuing Student Retention), and lead by the Area Coordinator, the Residential Coordinator for Residential Education (RCRE) is a full-time, live-in position that assists students in their social and intellectual development and their pursuit to degree attainment. RCREs assist in the overall design, implementation, and daily administration of the Residential Education program for a specific residential community. Populations of these communities vary and can be in excess of 1,200 residents.
Associate Vice President, Strategic Marketing and Communications (Administrator IV) - Marketing & Enrollment Management San Francisco
The Associate Vice President, Strategic Marketing and Communications will lead efforts to elevate the university’s profile and steward its reputation with prospective students and their families; global, national, and regional news media; and other influencers. The Associate Vice President will report to the Vice President, University Advancement and be a key member of the Vice President's leadership team. The Associate Vice President will lead a dynamic team of 20 staff collectively comprising a centralized, integrated strategic communications and marketing unit. The Associate Vice President will serve on the campus’s Extended Cabinet, as well as on its emergency operations management, and serve on other university task forces, advisory committees, and boards as appropriate. The Associate Vice President will coordinate and manage internal campus-wide communications, and in collaboration with the President, Vice President for University Advancement, and other administrative and academic leaders will guide the development and implementation of strategies and activities that enhance the university’s visibility, promote and protect its brand and reputation among external and internal constituents, and ensure strategic alignment among all external and internal communications deployed across multiple platforms and channels. Partnering with stakeholders and leaders across campus, the Associate Vice President is the guiding architect of the university’s efforts to raise awareness of the university, promote its reputation, and inspire alumni and donors.
Police Dispatcher (Police Dispatcher II) - University Police Department San Francisco
The Police Dispatcher is a specialized classification within police departments which provides essential dispatch communications and records maintenance. Dispatchers are responsible for maintaining effective and efficient communications between campus law enforcement headquarters, campus police officers in the field, outside emergency and law enforcement agencies, and the public. Incumbents in this position receive, record and dispatch general and emergency information quickly, clearly, and accurately. Incumbents at this level typically have a higher degree of accountability for the dispatch and records functions. Their assignments typically involve providing lead work direction to other dispatchers and/or other public safety support staff and/or performing more complex and diverse functions in support of public safety programs. They often participate in the development of operational procedures and protocols related to dispatch functions.
Residential Life Case Manager (Student Services Professional IV) - Residential Life San Francisco
Under the general supervision of the Director of Campus Case Management and the SAFE Place, the Residential Life Case Manager is responsible for the provision of critical support for students experiencing emotional or material challenges that negatively impact their well-being and ability to achieve academic success. The Residential Life Case Manager will provide mental health assessments, crisis management, triage, effective referrals, follow up, tracking, and continuity of care between campus departments and community resources. This position will mainly support students referred to the Residential Life Care Team and the SF State Action Care Team (ACT), but can support students referred by other programs. They will also work to coordinate services and communication with the campus case management team.
