Lecturers in Comparative & World Literature

The Department of Comparative & World Literature at San Francisco State University invites applications for part-time lecturer positions (non-tenure track) for a continuous part-time lecturer pool in Comparative & World Literature for the Academic Year 2022/2023.  Candidates already holding a Ph.D. degree in Comparative Literature (or a complementary discipline) are preferred, but applicants in the late stages of a doctoral program or with an MA in Comparative Literature will be considered.

Comparative and World Literature (CWL) is a way of studying world literature. It is a broad and rich discipline that tackles literature across national borders, time periods, languages and genres and crosses boundaries between literature and the other arts. Through the interdisciplinary nature of this field, students acquire solid knowledge in several disciplines of the humanities as well as critical abilities. Additional details about our department can be found at our homepage: https://complit.sfsu.edu/

The start and end dates of the semester can be found at the following link: https://webapps.sfsu.edu/public/webcal/acadcalendar

The department seeks instructors for courses offered in our undergraduate program. Please consult the bulletin and indicate which courses you are qualified to teach: https://bulletin.sfsu.edu/colleges/liberal-creative-arts/comparative-world-literature/
