EOS & NERR Administrative Coordinator (Administrative Analyst/Specialist - Exempt I) - Office of Research & Sponsored Programs/SF Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve San Francisco
Administrative Coordinator will work for the San Francisco Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve (NERR) at Estuary and Ocean Science Center on the Romberg Tiburon Campus of San Francisco State University (SFSU), in Tiburon, CA. The position will be half time. The Administrative Coordinator will serve as a key contact between SFSU (Office of Research and Sponsored Programs), NOAA, and NERR staff and will assist the NERR Reserve Manager. The Administrative Coordinator will provide pre- and post-award grant support between the NERR and SFSU (prepare and interpret budgets and accounting reports; troubleshoot any discrepancies with appropriate campus offices; provide the NERR Manager with monthly financial reports; and assist with procurement and reimbursements) and grantors and subawardees (progress reporting, support with procurement and invoicing). Provide coordination support on human resources. Provide support with a variety of administrative tasks (scheduling meetings, planning special events, and supporting projects). Activities will also include working to support other NERR staff in support of our missions.

The Notetaker provides academic and/or work-related assistance to students and employees with disabilities by taking comprehensive notes of written or electronic materials, and/or assisting in communicating with others. Provides typewritten or clear handwritten materials, which may be dictated or described by the individual. All content must be that of the individual assisted; note takers do not develop content for the individual. May not access University Level One or Level Two Student Data. Under the general supervision of the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing Services Coordinator, Sign-Language Interpreters provide communication access sign-language interpreting (SLI) to Deaf or Hard-of-Hearing individuals, including students, faculty, staff, and university guests. Incumbents facilitate communication by using American Sign Language (ASL) to provide sign-to-voice and voice-to-sign transliteration and interpretation services in a wide array of academic settings and public events.
Hourly Realtime Captioner (Hourly Interpreter/Realtime Captioner/Computer-Aided Transcriber) - DPRC San Francisco
Under the general supervision of the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing Services Coordinator, Real-Time Captioners provide communication access real-time translating services (CART) to Deaf or Hard-of-Hearing (DHOH) individuals, including students, faculty, staff, and university guests. Incumbents facilitate communication by using court reporting methods, a steno machine, real-time technology, software, and a laptop computer to create real-time word-for-word text of spoken English.
Coastal Science Education Coordinator (Associate, Academic & Institutional Studies I) - ORSP/ Estuary & Ocean Science Center/SF Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve (NERR) San Francisco
The Coastal Science Education Coordinator for the San Francisco Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve (SF Bay NERR) develops and leads educational programs that connect people to science and the estuary. The SF Bay NERR program is part of the national NERR system of 30 coastal reserves. The education program engages community members, students, and teachers with the SF Bay NERR field sites and partner organizations through programs that foster scientific literacy and understanding of estuaries. The education coordinator’s primary responsibilities are to support the SF Bay NERR’s Management Plan’s goals and objectives for kindergarten through college students and community education and sustain programs that meet stakeholder needs identified in the 2022 Education Program Needs Assessment.
Hourly Police Dispatcher (Police Dispatcher II) - University Police Department San Francisco
The Police Dispatcher is a specialized classification within police departments which provides essential dispatch communications and records maintenance. Dispatchers are responsible for maintaining effective and efficient communications between campus law enforcement headquarters, campus police officers in the field, outside emergency and law enforcement agencies, and the public. Incumbents in this position receive, record and dispatch general and emergency information quickly, clearly, and accurately. Incumbents at this level typically have a higher degree of accountability for the dispatch and records functions.Their assignments typically involve providing lead work direction to other dispatchers and/or other public safety support staff and/or performing more complex and diverse functions in support of public safety programs. They often participate in the development of operational procedures and protocols related to dispatch functions.
