Under the general direction of the Vice Provost for Academic Resources, the Director provides overall leadership and administrative oversight of institutional research functions to support the University’s internal reporting, decision making, planning, and continuous improvement efforts.
Executive Assistant - (Executive Assistant III, Range I) - Vice President Office Student Affairs San Francisco
The Executive Assistant advises and supports the Vice President of Student Affairs (VPSA) as well as other members of the Student Affairs cabinet, specifically noted below, and across Student Affairs more broadly. Such support is operational, strategic, logistic as well as clerical. By staying informed of campus-wide activities, deadlines, processes, and pending decisions, the Executive Assistant independently determines self-assignments in addition to receiving direction from the VPSA or a designee. As a liaison working on behalf of the VPSA’s office, the Executive Assistant is responsible for developing communications, responses and complaint resolution both independently and in consultation with the VPSA and other campus leaders. The Executive Assistant serves in a highly visible and critical role as facilitator of the Student Fee Advisory Committee (SFAC) and other high level interdepartmental committees, and performs duties related to Building Coordinator (BC) and Building Emergency Response Coordinator (BERC) roles for the Student Services Building (SSB). This position requires extensive administrative experience, exceptional analytical skills, and proven communication skills. The Executive Assistant is expected to be a strong team player with a can-do attitude and high ethical standards and be capable of carrying out multiple projects at the same time. The Executive Assistant is expected to maintain discretion and confidentiality of sensitive information, traits that are essential and critical to being successful in this role.

Executive HR Advisor (Administrator III, Range 1) - San Francisco Bay Region Network San Francisco
Reporting directly to the Network Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), the Executive HR Advisor (EHRA) for SFSU is the on-site HR advisor and day-to-day relationship owner for SFSU, serving as the primary point of HR leadership for the campus President, Provost, vice presidents, deans, and campus community. This position ensures that SFSU leaders have responsive, contextual, and in-person HR support while operating within the SFBRN HR organization to seamlessly connect campus stakeholders to Network HR Operations, Centers of Excellence (CoE), and Recruiting resources as needed. The EHRA is the senior HR presence on SFSU and may serve on the President’s cabinet at the President’s discretion. The EHRA’s core mandate is a dual one of advancing the consistency and integrity of the Network’s shared HR model, while keeping SFSU needs front and center through timely access to expert HR guidance, strong service delivery, and clear escalation pathways. The EHRA translates campus priorities and workforce needs into HR solutions, advises on the full range of HR domains, and serves as the institutional bridge between SFSU and the Network’s HR functions. This position exercises significant independent judgment on matters with meaningful legal, institutional, and organizational impact, and is accountable for HR customer support outcomes at SFSU across all HR process areas.
Lead Admissions Counselor - (Student Service Professional III, Range I) - Undergraduate Admissions and Recruitment San Francisco
Reporting to the Director of Undergraduate Admissions & Recruitment, the Lead Admissions Counselor is a lead student advisor in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions and Recruitment by providing complex and multifaceted admissions advising and coordination for the admission evaluation for both transfer and first-year applicants to the University. The incumbent provides a secondary level of advising to new students above the admission counselor level, when more nuanced and creative approaches are necessary. The incumbent’s skill level enables them to provide lead work in the area of admissions, related to staffing, training, and planning for the SSP II Admission Counselors. The incumbent builds on knowledge of California Title V, CSU eligibility requirements, and SFSU policies to support the staff by offering specialized training on admissions and transfer credit policies and procedures, and handling challenging and unique student, parent, staff, and faculty interactions. The incumbent supports the Director in processing special action admission requests involving complex and/or multifaceted student concerns. The incumbent provides in depth guidance to CSU ineligible applicants to assist them to become eligible, student-focused customer service and staff leadership by demonstrating effective listening, availability and timely responses to all inquiries
