Electrician (2 Positions) San José
Under general supervision of the Supervising Electrician, performs skilled journey-level electrical work, including the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, equipment, and low-voltage systems such as fire and alarm systems. Duties include troubleshooting malfunctions, planning and wiring new or remodeled installations, testing equipment for safety and efficiency, and fabricating parts. The incumbent ensures work complies with codes and specifications, uses a computerized maintenance system, and may guide unskilled or semi-skilled assistants.
Refrigeration Mechanic San José
San José State University is seeking a skilled journey-level Refrigeration Mechanic to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC and refrigeration systems. Duties include overhauling and servicing equipment, diagnosing issues with electrical, pneumatic, or digital controls, and improving system efficiency across campus. The role also involves using building automation systems, maintaining records and inventory, ordering parts, and guiding skilled and semi-skilled staff.
