The Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry at California State University San Marcos seeks a part-time lecturer for Fall 2026 to lecture CHEM 202L: Organic Chemistry Lab. This course is the second course of a sequence designed to introduce the student majoring in science to the properties of organic compounds. The entire sequence covers bonding structure, stereochemistry, nomenclature, chemical and physical properties of each functional group, acid/base phenomena, reaction mechanisms and kinetics, organic synthesis, and an introduction to spectroscopic structure determination.

Includes an illustration of the history and growth of public health from medicine, health ethics, and future public health concerns. The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at California State University San Marcos accepts applications on an on-going basis for our pool of part-time lecturers. Applicant pools are used to fill short-term temporary Lecturer positions across our campus with the possibility of rehiring. Appointments may last from one day to a whole semester. This applicant pool may be used to fill vacant positions on an as-needed basis throughout the academic year. Applications in this pool ad will only be good for the current academic year. This pool will be closed effective May 31st. If you wish to be considered for the next academic year, you will need to apply to the new pool as it becomes available by June 15th.
