Lecturer Pool - Biological Sciences: Biotechnology AY 2026/27 San Marcos
The Department of Biological Sciences at California State University San Marcos maintains an on-going pool of applicants who are interested in teaching courses for the undergraduate and graduate Biotechnology degree programs.  The Biotechnology programs emphasize a strong foundation of biological knowledge that is integrated with business, ethical, and legal perspectives of the biotechnology and life sciences industry.  Specific courses for which instructors may be sought vary by semester and can be found in the catalog.  Applicant pools are used to fill short-term temporary Lecturer positions across our campus with the possibility of rehiring. Appointments may last from one day to a whole semester. This applicant pool may be used to fill vacant positions on an as-needed basis throughout the academic year.  Applications in this pool ad will only be good for the current academic year. This pool will be closed effective May 31st.  If you wish to be considered for the next academic year, you will need to apply to the new pool as it becomes available by June 15th.
Lecturer - GEOG 110: Introduction to Physical Geography (Fall 2026) San Marcos
The Environment and Geography Department at California State University San Marcos seeks a part-time lecturer for Fall 2026 to teach GEOG 110: Introduction to Physical Geography (Fall 2026). This course examines the place of the Earth in the solar system; the seasonal and latitudinal distribution of solar energy; analyzes the many elements of weather, climate, vegetation, and soils; considers the Earth’s major landforms and the processes that shape them; examines the Earth’s water system. This course satisfies the Earth Science content requirement for candidates in the Elementary Subject Matter Preparation Program.

Under general direction of the Director of Athletics, the Associate Director of Athletics/Deputy Title IX Coordinator serves as an integral member of the Department of Athletics and is a member of the department’s Senior Leadership team.

The School of Nursing at California State University San Marcos accepts applications on an on-going basis for our Pediatrics/OB pool of part-time lecturers. Clinical days, hours, and clinical sites vary within San Diego County and Riverside County.
Peer Outreach and Support Coordinator, Student Affairs San Marcos
Under the lead of the Vice President for Student Affairs, and in coordination with the Chief Diversity Officer and Chief of Staff, the Peer Outreach and Support Coordinator will serve as a peer leader and connector between students and University leadership.
