Position Summary: Become a part of the student accounts team at a mission driven university educating students to make a positive difference in the world. The Manager of Student Accounts assists in the monitoring of all student receivables and collections activities, including the following functions: student billing / tuition and fee assessment, cashiering, and timely payment of student refunds. This position monitors and manages delinquent collection balances, manages third party vendors/ billings, and reconciles several SAO related financial activities. Reporting to the Director of Student Accounts, this position provides support in leadership and oversight of the department staff, and is responsible for ensuring high quality customer service, assisting in the development and implementation of policies and procedures, and maintaining regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will foster a welcoming, respectful, and student-centered environment while ensuring financial transactions are handled accurately and efficiently.
Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or closely related field
• Minimum 3 years in student accounts or related experience
• Problem solving experience
• Ability to provide strong customer service with a positive attitude
• Effective written and verbal and communication skills
• Ability to effectively deal with sensitive financial issues, maintain confidentiality and apply sound professional judgement
• Commitment to customer service excellence/support to enhance an environment of equity, diversity and inclusion

Preferred Qualifications:

While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:

• Knowledge of Banner Accounts Receivable and Banner Finance or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) system to analyze data and prepare reports
• TouchNet cashiering experience
• Demonstrated knowledge of higher ed principles, practices and procedures as they relate to student account operations
• Knowledge of federal and state policies regarding financial aid
