Position Summary:

Join the University of Dayton's Facilities Management & Planning division and become part of a vibrant Catholic research university community dedicated to excellence, leadership, and service. We're seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician Troubleshooter to help maintain our beautiful 432 acre urban campus where innovation meets tradition.

As a Maintenance Technician, you will perform semi skilled work in the maintenance and repair of buildings and associated equipment/systems. Responds to emergency situations as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School diploma/GED
General knowledge/skills of the following:
– minor HVAC
– minor electrical
– minor plumbing
– minor carpentry
– minor repair of doors/windows, including hardware
– painting, including minor wall repair
– general building maintenance
– mechanical aptitude
– respond to various alarms (fire, elevator entrapment, sprinkler, leaks, etc.
Must possess maturity in judgment, have demonstrated professionalism, creativity, and ability to get along with widely diverse personalities
Basic computer skills
Minimum of 5 years experience performing minor HVAC, minor electrical, etc.
Individual must have a valid drivers license and be insurable by the University, which includes maintaining a low risk driving record

Preferred Qualifications:

While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:

Monitor Metasys HVAC control systems
Refrigerant recovery certification
Trades related certifications/training (documentation required)
