Position Summary:      

The Administrative Director is responsible for administrating three inter-related programs at Cardozo Law School: the Intellectual Property & Information Law Program, the Fashion, Arts, Media, and Entertainment Law Center (FAME), and the Cardozo Data Law Initiative (CDLI). Within each program, the Administrative Director works with program faculty and directors to plan and execute events, publicize the programs, and coordinate and support program activities.

Position Responsibilities:

Work with faculty, other administrators, and external parties to plan and execute the IP Scholars Conference (once every four years), other ad-hoc conferences and symposia, the IP Speaker Series, IPIL Colloquium, Distinguished Lecture in IP, Tech Talks, FAME Talks, CDLI Speaker Series, and other speakers and events.

Manage and coordinate program publicity, both online and in print, in conjunction with the Office of Communications, including annual brochures, program websites, email communications, and social media accounts. Manage email and other communications with internal and external parties, including students, advisory board members, adjunct faculty, alumni, and the general public.

Assist with all other program activities, including internal and external meetings, and programs for adjunct professors, alumni, and/or international delegations.

Reports to the Director of the IP & Information Law Program and works closely with program faculty to execute short- and long-term planning goals.

Internal and external expenses and reimbursements coordinated through the Office of Business Affairs.

Communications and publicity coordinated through the Office of Communications and Public Affairs.

This position is responsible for managing annual program budgets and does not have supervisory responsibility.

Experience & Educational Background:

Juris Doctor, or equivalent degree in law, preferred. Prior experience in program administration preferred.

Skills & Competencies:

Excellent writing, communications, and administrative skills.
