The ideal candidate will have a Master of Fine Arts degree in photography or a master’s degree in another discipline with at least 18 graduate hours in photography.
The successful candidate is expected to 1) design lessons/units that promote critical thinking through student-content and student-to-student learning activities, 2) foster a supportive learning environment for students by employing evidence-based instructional strategies, and 3) demonstrate commitment to student learning and teaching effectiveness. | Elgin Community College seeks an adjunct instructor to teach multiple Spanish language courses that are offered through our Modern Languages department. The courses which may be assigned include elementary (first and second levels), intermediate (first and second level), and courses for native Spanish speakers. The ideal candidate will have a Master’s degree in Spanish or another type of master’s degree with at least 18 graduate hours in Spanish literature or culture of the language.
The successful candidate is expected to 1) design lessons/units that promote critical thinking through student-content and student-to-student learning activities, 2) foster a supportive learning environment for students by employing evidence-based instructional strategies, and 3) demonstrate commitment to student learning and teaching effectiveness. Preferred applicants will have prior experience teaching in both in-person and virtual (online asynchronous) modalities. |
