Web Design Adjunct Faculty - Fall 2025

| Elgin Community College seeks an adjunct instructor to teach web design courses (basic and advanced). The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in graphic design at least 2,000 hours of professional experience as a web designer. A digital portfolio must be submitted that includes design projects demonstrating high-level web design skills including the ability to apply UI/UX design concepts as well as code semantically correct web pages. The successful candidate is expected to 1) design lessons/units that promote critical thinking through student-content and student-to-student learning activities, 2) foster a supportive learning environment for students by employing evidence-based instructional strategies, and 3) demonstrate commitment to student learning and teaching effectiveness. Preferred applicants will have prior experience teaching in both in-person and virtual (online asynchronous) modalities and be available to teach at our Elgin campus (Elgin, IL). |
