Residence Director Boston Main Campus
The Residence Director (RD) is an exempt 12-month, full-time, professional staff member in the Department of Housing and Residential Life. Residence Directors have direct responsibility for the effective administration and community development of one or more buildings housing a diverse population of 250-700 students. These buildings are served by a paraprofessional staff of 8-16, over whom the Residence Director has direct supervision. The Residence Director’s primary purpose is to develop and maintain an environment conducive to social and intellectual growth as well as the academic success of resident students. This position’s responsibilities include: creating and implementing co-curricular engagement within university housing, student staff supervision and development, housing and occupancy administration, student conduct, as well as collaborating with campus partners on overall facility and security management within the assigned residential area.
