Lifeguard summary: This position ensures the safety of participants in the Soderholm Family Aquatic Center, Cove Pool, and Memorial Union Pier by applying preventative measures, promoting consistency, enforcing policies, and remaining alert. Current American Red Cross Lifeguard, CPR/AED, and First Aid certifications are required, as well as a pre-employment skills test including an 8ft deep brick retrieval, touch the bottom of our 17ft diving well, a CPR scenario, and a continuous 150 yard-swim, 2-minute tread, 50-yard swim sequence.
