Department Overview:
Get in Gear Driving School is a Wisconsin-based driver education company serving teens and adults throughout the Madison metro area. We are expanding our online platform to create a more accessible, student-friendly web experience that supports both classroom and behind-the-wheel training. Our team values creativity, initiative, and professionalism, and offers UW students a chance to build real-world experience in technology, design, and education.

Schedule:
Flexible scheduling between 9:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., Monday – Friday. Occasional weekend hours may be available near project milestones.

Qualifications:
Must be a current UW–Madison student eligible for Federal Work-Study. Demonstrated experience designing or publishing websites in Webflow (or comparable visual builder). Ability to work independently and manage multiple components of a live website. Strong communication and organizational skills.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
Proficiency in Webflow Designer, including layout, CMS, and responsive design. Basic understanding of HTML/CSS, SEO, and accessibility principles. Familiarity with Google Workspace and Canva for content integration. Ability to troubleshoot, test, and document progress clearly.
Position Summary/Job Duties:
Migrating content from the existing DSS system into a new, responsive Webflow site. Designing page layouts and navigation in alignment with brand guidelines. Integrating scheduling forms, contact links, and payment tools. Testing pages for mobile responsiveness, accessibility, and usability. Collaborating directly with the owner to ensure DOT compliance and consistency.
Physical Demands:
Primarily computer-based work; must be able to sit for extended periods and perform basic office/computer functions.
