This position functions as a professional advisor role; hired applicants will present curriculum and policy information to groups of incoming students, provide support and resources in individual academic advising scenarios, and support peer advisors in their advising roles on course selection and enrollment questions. Graduate advisors will also provide administrative support by inputting peer advisor notes, facilitating the session check-out process, and preparing materials for each SOAR attendee. This position will be a primarily in-person role. SOAR staff will work in Grainger Hall and College Library.
