The COO reports to the President and Chief Executive Officer and together they set the strategy for managing the operations of the IMC to ensure that the organization is best positioned to achieve its risk adjusted return objectives. The COO is responsible for managing the overall operations of the IMC which include, infrastructure, operational controls, performance measurement, and risk management. Success requires a comprehensive understanding of the investment strategy so that operations can support effective, efficient and risk-mitigating decision making. The COO is responsible for guiding the Operations team to provide daily and long-term support to the Investment team, including the development, maintenance and enhancement of reporting tools to facilitate investment management and asset allocation decisions. Concurrently, the COO and the Operations team is charged with ensuring the investment team maintains proper controls, understands risk and remains in compliance with all regulations and practices. |
