JOB SCOPE

Summary of Job Responsibilities

  • Assist the (Assistant) Managers and/or Associate Directors in managing, monitoring and maintaining one or more of the functional areas in operational condition at all times within Facilities Department support the operations and functioning of Hotels and F&B; Casino Operations; MICE, Retails and attractions supports; Service Requests Team; Capital and A&A work projects management; WSH and Fire Safety management; Facilities mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems maintenance; HVAC and CCMS. operations and maintenance; Elevators and Escalators operations and maintenance; and/or Energy and Utilities Management.
  • Assist the (Assistant Manager) and/or Assistant Chief Engineers in planning preventive and corrective maintenance of related equipment and ensuring smooth operations with industrial best practices and Government guidelines.

Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily on-site physical inspection and monitor the work progress of all defects rectification; identify any equipment defect, and report to the (Assistant) Manager and/or Assistant Chief Engineers for corrective actions immediately.
  • Conduct regular meetings and coordinate with the maintenance contractor to resolve and improve the service of relevant systems
  • Assist department in inspecting new equipment and consolidating punch list.
  • Maintain all operating permits required for facility operation and attend to guest and internal departments request such as ad-hoc breakdown.
  • Coordinate and supervise external contract works as assigned by immediate supervisor to ensure their works are compliant with the required specifications and standards so as to meet objectives.
  • Manage the delivery and measurement of guest services within assigned department(s), consistent with the company’s core service standards and brand attributes.
  • Work closely and liaise with all departments in property in project and maintenance coordination to minimize disruption
  • Coordinate and manage contractors and sub-contractors handling Testing and Commissioning (T&C) of equipment along with contractors and other Team Members.
  • Coordinate and work with other departments and contractors for any related issues concerning the department to minimize work disruption.
  • Closing and filling up job chit as required.
  • Plan, manage, select and procure consumable materials.
  • Assist the (Assistant) Manager and/or Assistant Chief Engineers in planning of job duration and assessing manpower, materials, tools and equipment, special services required for the job.
  • Lead a team of technicians/engineers to deliver quality up-keeping of all related areas for the facilities complex.
  • Allocate works to technicians and ensure all jobs are correctly and properly achieved.
  • Direct the technicians on routine maintenance and urgent repair works in accordance with sound engineering practices and occupational health and safety regulations. Closely monitor the effects of servicing and maintenance on their condition wherever possible. Ensure that all records of maintenance and testing are kept.
  • 24/7 stand-by for emergency call outs.
  • Take over responsibilities as and when the (Assistant) Manager is not available.
  • Operate any relevant central control systems; Maintaining, troubleshooting & repairing, programming and configuring of relevant software and hardware.
  • Enforce all safety programs and training with regards to WSH.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with company policies and within the realm of the company vision, mission and values.
  • Provides input into the research, development, evaluation and implementation of new products, services, technology and processes to ensure MBS competitive position and in anticipation of changing customer needs within the dynamic hospitality and gaming environment.
  • Provide and review training and orientation programs for Team Members.
  • Conduct performance appraisal of all team members under supervision.
  • Review and streamline all purchase requests with procurement department.
  • Perform ad-hoc tasks as required.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor Degree / Diploma / NITEC / Certifications in facilities management of other faculty. 
  • 3 to 5 years of solid hands-on practical working in any Integrated Resorts, Hotels, Conference and Exhibition Center and/or Shopping Mall providing Customers Service, Operations supports, and maintenance of plant and systems.
  • Working knowledge of CRA compliance requirement and understanding of local regulations, standards and ordinances on operations and maintenance of electrical installation, mechanical systems, vertical transportation systems, fire protection and life safety systems and pool maintenance will be advantageous.
  • Knowledge on renovation practices in terms of seeking approval and submission procedures to all government agencies and authorities will be advantageous.
  • Be able to work outdoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to fatigue, noise, dust, and be able to access all areas of the property including those at height
  • Able to work rotating shift under minimum supervision and pressure in a fast paced environment
  • As this is an operational role, it may involve frequent prolong standing, stretching, bending and kneeling.
