QA Automation Engineer

Are you looking for a challenge to build and scale a global technology platform for one of the world’s largest travel agencies? Position is 100% remote with flexible working hours.

CustomerOne, a product and engineering team within Flight Centre Travel Group company, is seeking a skilled and motivated team member to lead all quality assurance aspects. We develop company-wide Lead Management, CRM, Contact Centre, and Chat solutions used by thousands of travel agents daily in 6 countries around the world. You will be able to collaborate with world class development teams in Australia, Canada, and the USA.

The stack is a mix of proprietary Microsoft software and open-source solutions in AWS. The Software Development Engineer in Test develops and owns the testing plan, framework and focus of this role is to bring quality leadership during feature delivery by developing an end-to-end Test Automation suite.

It is key for us that the engineer is open minded and is in-depth skilled with both Web UI and API testing, test automation and benchmarking. You will be the primary designer and implementer of all test solutions for Customer One suit of products.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business for test plan design and understanding corner cases
  • Design, Develop and maintain test automation solutions
  • Create extensive software test kits with unit tests and behavior driven tests
  • Collaborate with engineering team
  • Drive the transformation to test automation coverage
  • Debug, trace, and monitor end to end message flows
  • Establish processes and tool sets with engineers to maintain automation scripts and generate regular test reports.
  • Collaborate across team boundaries with other teams
  • Communicate issues and technical roadblocks effectively

Requirements:

  • Possess core automation skills and an understanding of frameworks and tools for web UI application and API testing
  • Automation testing or tooling experience using industry standard kits like (TODO)
  • Experience with at least one programming language like: o TypeScript (JavaScript) o C# 9 or later o PowerShell
  • Web Technologies o HTML 5 o CSS 4 o XPath
  • Familiarity with Azure and AWS cloud services and strategies to test solutions hosted in the cloud
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform
  • Able to decide what tests to run, when and how
  • Experience using debugging tools, analyzing stack traces, code, log files and other artifacts
  • Experience working with DevOps to provide automation with CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with version control systems and build tools, e.g., Git, Jenkins, GitHub Actions
  • API benchmarking

Nice to Have

  • Experience in CRM test automation and Dynamics 365 specifically
  • Exposure to modern JavaScript frameworks like Angular, React or Vue, etc and their automated testing
  • Experience instilling software engineering best practices within your team
