DevOps Engineer

Are you looking for a challenge to build and scale a global technology platform for the world’s largest travel agency? Position is 100% remote with flexible working hours.

CustomerOne, a product and engineering team within Flight Centre Travel Group company, is seeking a skilled and motivated Site Reliability Engineer to join our team. We develop company-wide Lead Management, CRM, Contact Centre, and Chat solutions used by thousands of travel agents daily in 6 countries around the world. You will be able to collaborate with world class development teams in Australia, Canada, and the USA.

The stack is a mix of proprietary Microsoft software and open-source solutions in AWS. This position is a step above DevOps and System Administrator with a more expansive set of responsibilities.

It is key for us that the engineer is open minded and is in-depth skilled with both Azure and AWS Clouds and related best practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to DevOps in a team developing software solutions for a large multi-national corporation with deployments in at least 6 countries and thousands of daily users
  • Write and maintain infrastructure documentation in Confluence, Miro, etc
  • Setup, maintain and monitor CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions)
  • Automate software error monitoring, detection and alerting
  • Perform root-cause analysis and document issues
  • Incident and problem management
  • Integration test setup and execution
  • Services Performance benchmarking
  • Continuous skillset upkeep and new technical solutions exploration
  • Participate in company-wide community of practice sessions
  • Options for growth by using leading edge software solutions
  • Just Do It attitude

Requirements:

  • Great English language communication skills both verbal and written
  • In-depth experience with Linux and Windows administration
  • Up to date working knowledge of both AWS and Azure
  • Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code via AWS CDK, Terraform
  • Expertise with Azure DevOps and non-Microsoft CI/CD solutions
  • Maintaining infrastructure as code with Azure Bicep, Azure Resource Manager and Application Insights
  • Cloud security best practices for Azure and AWS
  • Programming common infrastructure management languages:
    • PowerShell
    • TypeScript
    • Python
    • Bash Scripting
  • Network debugging skills with Wireshark, tshark, tcpdump
  • Authentication and Authorization configuration using OAuth 2, OpenID Connect, SAML (Okta, Auth0, AD)
