Technical Business Analyst

We are looking for a technical business analyst to discover and resolve the operational complexities inherent to building an online booking tool. Acting like a SCRUM master with departments outside of WhereTo, this person connects our dedicated product and engineering team with the larger travel agency and third party technology companies – helping track the execution of new features and functionality necessary to support both our internal and external customers. When we receive new feature requests, this person will teach our team what needs to be considered from an industry or partnership perspective to bring it to life. 

Responsibilities:

  • Assess operational impact of new features in our OBT
  • Uncover internal system/application development dependencies (FCM Platform, CGAP, backoffice, etc)
  • Identify third party development dependencies (TPConnects, HotelHub, GDS, Amtrak, Trainline, etc) and track their delivery against WhereTo development
  • Find subject matter experts in Flight Centre to support writing of requirements for internal or 3rd parties and to inform operational impacts
  • Create, manage, and communicate cross-functional development timelines to predict dependencies and minimize potential blockers 

Requirements:

  • 5 years of Flight Centre Travel Group experience, ideally in a technology support or operations role.
  • Ability to convert technical and complex functionality into plain English documentation
  • A highly organized self-starter able to build process
  • Depth of knowledge of Flight Centre systems and operational workflows is necessary for success in this role
  • Effective Communicator with an aptitude for facilitating cross-functional collaboration
  • Bachelor degree
