Your Impact:
- Be an expert advisory resource to the Company on both industry best practice and legislative requirements in this field.
- Provide leadership and direction on strategic HSEQ policy, process, system and tools
- Develop and lead the HSEQ strategy for the business unit
- Provide expert advice, support and case management to Executive Management in relation to all HSEQ issues
Your every day:
- Identify legislative and/or operational changes, and through consultation with senior management, implement any new requirements.
- Lead, coach, mentor and empower a team of HSEQ professionals.
- Implement all HSEQ systems as directed and provide constructive feedback for the continuous improvement of the Integrated Management System (IMS).
- Manage HSEQ incident response and investigations across the project to ensure best care to all employees and interested parties.
- Report, investigate, facilitate review meetings, and communicate findings of incidents to relevant senior management in line with incident management plan and contractual requirements.
- Engage and collaborate with the Client’s HSEQ team.
Who are you
- A prerequisite of a National HSEQ Manager is that they understand and can complete all requirements of the HSEQ Manager position (including all training requirements of that position)
- Approximately 10 years relevant construction experience
- Advanced Diploma / Diploma in WHS (minimum qualification)
- Have a sound understanding of relevant Acts, Regulations and Compliance Code.
- Certificate IV TAA and Auditing qualifications are desirable
- Have a sound understanding of relevant legislation, EBAs and Awards
