The role:

Working closely with the environmental and project teams, you will deliver sustainability objectives, including managing development of sustainability processes and systems to deliver best practice and efficient innovative outcomes.

Your impact:

You will Assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of the Project’s sustainability management plans.

Your every day:

Support the development, maintenance and implementation of the project’s environmental and sustainability management plan for all construction activities.

  • Provide support and advice in regard to sustainability risks and requirements in order to meet requirements of the program and project contracts,
  • Research and implement sustainability initiatives, best practice and innovative technology solutions for the project.
  • Assist in the training and auditing of the project team to ensure project specific onboarding, compliance management systems and/or requitements are satisfied
  • Ensure appropriate sustainability monitoring is being undertaken, and the results are reviewed and acted upon appropriately,
  • Participate in audits and inspections to assess sustainability performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure from an Environment and Sustainability perspective that Project employees understand client expectations and system application.

Who are you?

 To be successful in this role, ideally you will have: 

  • Previous experience in a sustainability or environmental role is essential.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Sustainability, Earth Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Science, Environmental or Natural Resource Management
  • ISCA Sustainability Accreditation (desirable)
  • Cert II Erosion and sediment control (Green card – or equivalent experience)
  • Good communication and the ability to build relationships on-site on a busy project
