The role: 

A focal role in our HSE Team, you will contribute to the continuous improvement of our HSEQ management systems.

Your every day: 

You will contribute to the development, implementation and maintenance of the Group's HSEQ management systems for all operational activities undertaken across Symal including, construction and resource recovery. This role will see you:

  • Developing straightforward and efficient HSEQ systems for our operational teams, driving best practice .
  • Support implementation and ensure teams are aligned in meeting key health, safety and environment requirements.
  • Create business-wide minimum safety standards and work closely with leaders to develop entity-specific modifications related to their unique needs.
  • Travel is required to all our site and operational locations, to ensure face to face and hands on support for our teams.
  • Champion other health, safety, and environmental programs across the Symal Group.

 

Who are you? 

First and foremost, you share our passion for continuous improvement in HSEQ, with a strong interest in systems. You’ve been described as digitally savvy and someone who embraces innovative solutions. You’ll come to us with:

  • Previous experience using software such as SharePoint, PowerBI and Microsoft Suite for the purpose of executing clever HSEQ systems
  • The ability to translate technical information and ideas to non-technical audiences with influence
  • A keen interest in un-complicating HSEQ systems through your enthusiasm for emerging technologies
  • Knowledge of HSE legislation, employer responsibilities and obligations and the ability to work within systems that support our employees to adhere to these
