Mount Carmel Catholic College is a systemic co-educational secondary college located in the Macarthur region. Founded in 1986 on a proud Marist tradition, it is comprehensive in its approach and has a student population of approximately 1100 and a staff of 110. Two temporary part time positions commencing 31 January 2025 until 19 December 2025.
This position exists to support the delivery of quality learning and teaching. This classroom-based position requires you to work collaboratively with teachers, providing assistance in all areas of student learning and management.
ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA
The preferred applicant demonstrates the following criteria:
- A commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church.
- Ability to support children’s individual learning in the classroom.
- Understanding of and ability to work with students with diverse needs.
- Ability to interact positively with students.
- Technical competence in appropriate technologies.
DESIRABLE SELECTION CRITERIA
- Previous experience in similar settings.
- Experience with the PB4L framework.
The following GENERAL CAPABILITIES are applicable to the role:
- Well developed written and oral communication skills.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Certificate III in Classroom Support or equivalent
- Current Senior First Aid Certificate

This role is classified as a child related work and therefore a working with children clearance is required prior to your commencement with us.
