St Francis Catholic College, Edmondson Park is located near the junction of the M5 and M7 motorways. It is a rapidly growing K-12 school with a student population nearing 1580 students in 2025. The college is one school, not a traditional primary school and high school coexisting on the same site. As such, the college is organised into Junior Years Learning (K-4), Middle Years Learning (5-8), and Senior Years Learning (9-12). St Francis has finalised its new, modern 7th Stage of building development and offers state-of-the-art learning & specialist KLA facilities.
A temporary full time parental leave replacement position commencing 28 April 2024 until 19 December 2025. The successful applicant will be required to teach Hospitality and Design Technology (Year 12) and Technology (Years 7-10). The role of the Classroom Teacher exists to support growth in faith and improvement in learning so that students may reach their full potential. While Hospitality and Design Technology will be a major focus of this role, there may be opportunities for the successful applicant to teach Construction and Timber courses - dependent on expertise and experience.

- Demonstrate a deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church.
- Create and maintain an orderly, safe, and supportive learning environment based on the principles of PB4L.
- Apply knowledge of the diverse needs of students to support their full participation in learning.
- Ability to plan for and implement effective teaching and learning in TAS and VET.
- Use a range of assessment strategies and analyse data to inform student learning.
- Demonstrate commitment to engage professionally with colleagues, parents /carers, and the wider school community.
GENERAL CAPABILITIES

DESIRABLE CRITERIA:
- Ability to teach Technology, Hospitality and Design & Technology courses to Year 12
QUALIFICATIONS
- Appropriate qualifications for teaching nominated VET and TAS courses/s.
- Level B Accreditation by To Work, Teach, and Lead policy or a commitment to gain level within the first 5 years of employment with CEDoW.
- The applicant must be registered to teach with NESA.
WORKING WITH CHILDREN'S CLEARANCE
This role is classified as child-related work and therefore a Working With Children Check (WWCC) is required prior to your employment with CEDoW.
